I'm going on a short-term mission trip to Estonia! The trip is through the globalX ministry of North Point Ministries
(http://www.goglobalx.org) and it is to serve our partner church
in Tartu, Estonia. It's coming up fast--I leave in just a few days (we head out on May 29 and come back on June 7)!
Why am I going? As the globalX site says: "globalX helps national leaders develop relevant churches that are effective
in leading people of their cultures into growing relationships with Jesus Christ. The involvement of volunteers is essential
to support our globalX church network." I'm told that our partner church in Estonia appreciates the support of our presence,
that it is very meaningful to them that we come to where they are and give them our time, that this means more to them than
if we simply sent them money.
I believe this opportunity to serve our partner church is a big deal--but it's a big deal to me and for me, not about me.
And if you believe it's a big deal too, then please know that I would love for you to participate with me in this.
That's with me--not for me. Big difference: "with me" is for sake of the mission; "for me" is for sake of me or our relationship,
because you like me, that kind of thing. If it is your desire to partner with me, you can do so via prayer and/or via
financial contribution in support of the mission of the trip. But really, this is all up to you: if this isn't for you,
please don't worry about it a bit (I won't!) but just know that this is completely sincere, that for many people supporting
missions like this via prayer and/or via financial contribution is truly something they view as a blessing.

If you do want to contribute financially to the trip, my apologies for putting you a bit behind the 8-ball here, but the reality
is that since it's coming up so soon, the sooner you can contribute, the better (eh, sorry, but yeah: now if at all possible).
At this point, making an online contribution is the best way to do it. Here's the info you need:
- Go to https://ssl.northpoint.org/ssl/globalx/giving.html.
- Fill out the top section.
- In the second section, choose "Short-Term Mission Trip."
- You may have to then click somewhere else (just anywhere) on the page in order to see the GlobalX Trip Information section.
- For Country, choose "Estonia."
- For Trip, choose the first option, "Estonia Connections Team - 05/30/09-06/08/09."
- And of course, for Individual, type my name.
